Frutto di questa nuova unione sono i modelli Lapo Anderl e Ralph Elkann Presentato a Monaco lo scorso fine settimana un nuovo progetto di collaborazione tra Italia Independent e Ic! Berlin. "Uno degli obiettivi del 2013 è quello di aumentare la presenza del nostro brand in mercati strategici in Europa. La Germania è un paese ad altissimo potenziale commerciale e ha una forte tradizione nel design. Abbiamo scelto di entrare in questo importante mercato affiancandoci ad un partner all'avanguardia già fortemente affermato nel territorio e per presentare questa nuova collaborazione non potevamo che utilizzare una piattaforma di prestigio come Opti Munich" ha dichiarato Andrea Tessitore, Presidente e Amministratore Delegato di Italia Independent. "E' atipico nel mondo dell'occhialeria la collaborazione di due brand attivi nella stessa arena competitiva. Questo sottolinea l'attitudine nostra e di ic! berlin di portare avanti attività di marketing, comunicazione e prodotto innovativi nel rispetto delle logiche di mercato. "Ho incontrato al nostro stand quest'uomo alcuni anni fa. Un uomo con uno stile innato e per il 54% più bello di me. Strano..ero molto felice e ho capito che quest'uomo non era il classico cliente di Duesseldorf, Oldenurg o Berlin. Così gli ho detto: "Ciao" e lui ha ricambiato il mio saluto dicendomi che apprezzava molto i miei occhiali...il suo inglese aveva un piccolo accento italiano: un italiano di stile. Ho capito tutto, era Lapo Elkann, fondatore di Italia Independent. Un anno dopo ci siamo rivisti e dopo soli 5 minuti mi sono ricordato che quell'uomo di stile era Lapo Elkann!! Wow, apprezzava ancora i nostri occhiali ed è stato ancora più produttivo chiaccherare con lui; un uomo intelligentissimo e con le mie stesse visioni. Per farla breve, l'anno scorso è venuto a trovarmi a Berlino, abbiamo girato la città in tandem, siamo andati a fare yoga e abbiamo giocato a calcio con i miei figli. Alcune settimane dopo sono andato a trovalo io a Milano e abbiamo concretizzato la nostra idea. Il risultato è stata la nostra collaborazione: Italia Independent e ic! berlin; Germania - Italia! Voglio solo dirvi che è una fratellanza ora, infatti i nomi che abbiamo dato agli occhiali sono "Lapo Anderl" e "Ralph Elkann" ha dichiarato Ralph Anderl, fondatore di ic! berlin. Ic! berlin si è fatto presto conoscere per l'originalità e l'assoluta pulizia formale delle proprie creazioni, che nascono dall'intuizione di utilizzare il "becco d'oca" (le famosissime pinzette per capelli) alla cerniera per occhiali. Le montature vengono interamente realizzate in lamina d'acciaio armonico, e tutti i modelli sono realizzati senza alcuna vite o saldatura, rendendoli cosi estremamente robusti e confortevoli al mondo. Uno dei modelli storici di ic! berlin è stato reinterpretato da Italia Independent che ha applicato sul frontale l'effetto velluto, caratteristica distintiva di I-I. I modelli "Lapo Anderl" e "Ralph Elkann" sono disponibili in otto diverse varianti colore, di cui quattro colorazioni sono destinate al mercato tedesco e quattro al mercato italiano, Italia Independent distribuirà l'occhiale nel color sabbia, blu elettrico, light blu e nero, mentre ic! berlin nei colori nero, marrone, verde scuro e blu scuro.

He said again how much he liked our glasses and talking to him was even more productive. He is a very intelligent man with visions just like mine. To cut a long story short, last year he came to see me in Berlin, we cycled round the city on a tandem, had a yoga session and played soccer with my kids. The frames are all made from harmonic steel sheet without screws or soldering, which makes them extremely strong and comfortable. One of the historic ic! berlin models was reinterpreted by Italia Independent by applying its characteristic and distinctive velvet effect to the front. The "Lapo Anderl" and "Ralph Elkann" models are available in eight different colors, four for the German market and four for the Italian market: Italia Independent will distribute eyewear in sand, electric blue, light blue and black, and ic! berlin in black, brown, dark green and dark blue. Distributed through both brands' retail channels, the eyewear will be available from May 2013 at a retail price of 357 euros.
