The award for the best optical centre in the world
The Best Store 2025 award, in its 10th edition, features two categories: Best Store Design and Best Store Innovation. You are invited to apply to only one category, by filling out the form and, where requested, by uploading the files needed to complete your application.
An international jury composed of design and retail experts, managers, creative directors, journalists and designers will choose the best store in each category.
Applications for 2024 are closed. Do not miss the Award Ceremony on Sunday 4th February, 3 pm, area Otticlub (Pavillion 1).
BEST STORE DESIGN
If the shopping experience in your optical centre is unmissable, it is also thanks to the attention paid to the layout, the materials chosen, the furnishings and the DESIGN.
BEST STORE INNOVATION
If your optical centre is INNOVATIVE in customer service, interaction with suppliers, digital and traditional communication, but also in its history and human and emotional aspects.
The award for the DESIGN category of the Best Store, is assigned to Zien & Horen Frits van den Bosch by Thomas Van Den Bosch (Wommelgem, Belgium), a former industrial building converted into a shop-in-shop, which was awarded for its innovative décor and unique customer focus. With its 900 m², it is the largest optical store in Belgium: it includes boutiques dedicated to major brands, a café, children's spaces, ophthalmology and audiology services, and a pop-up area that changes theme every year.

The Best Store INNOVATION category awards Ottica Padrin by Fabrizio Padrin (Vicenza, Italy) thanks to its use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, customer focus with inclusive and personalized spaces, and a strong commitment to social and environmental sustainability. The store’s strong points are innovative scientific research, ongoing staff training, and a work environment that values employee well-being. This comprehensive and modern approach makes it a benchmark in the optical industry.
